sandals....

not long ago, i was given a very nice pair of footwear. its a pair of leather sandals, all tough in appearance, but comfortable when worn. it may not be brand new but i still like it very much. i would wear it everywhere i go. for a time, it was good.
until one fine day, i accidentally tore the straps. in my opinion, its still wearable and i tried to mend it hoping it could be as good as it was. it wasn't. and now, i am without it, i couldn't go anywhere.

try as we might, things cannot be the same again. the only thing we can do is to hope and pray for a second chance.
