technical help desk "tai ji"......

i dunno abt wat u guys think but my last 2 encounters with technical helpdesk hasn't really been good.
1st was with an isp which(s**g**t). my internet connection has a timed shutdown everyday (for close to 1 month b4 it returned to normal) from 7pm - 1am or 2 am. when i called the said isp, the technician instructed me to do some normal test(eg. turn off the power and on again etc.), i followed accordingly but nothing seems to work. so he said could be the fault of the modem manufacturer and asked me to call them to get it fixed. but when i call the manufacturer's helpdesk and describe my problems, they say its the problem with the isp. wtf right?
2 weeks back, my printer break down and only today did i find the number to call to repair it. so i called the hotline and described my problem, the person on the other end of the line checked for a while b4 asking me to call their service center as he dun have the price list for repairs. and so i called the other no. provided, which when they answered, ask me to wait for like 5 minutes b4 asking me to call the previous no. that i called as they are the ones supposed to have the price list. (wtf again?)
i really lost hope with all these "help desk" when all they do is to push the problem ard. come on, its your job actually to help ppl solve problems to the product or service.
